About the Facility
Data collection is performed on a Bruker Kappa APEX II Duo CCD diffractometer with Oxford CryoSystems CryoStream 700 Crystal Cooling System for low temperature capabilities. The Duo has dual sources to collect data on routine, well-diffracting samples (using Mo radiation) as well as small and weak samples (Cu). The Cu source also enables the determination of absolute structure when an atom heavier than oxygen is not present. Data processing is performed using Bruker's APEX2 software package (for processing CCD data). Structure solution and refinement are performed using Bruker's SHELXTL package.
