In the 111 set of planes, Na⁺ ions are directly in the planes; Cl^- ions are halfway between the planes. Although rays reflected from Cl's would be exactly out of phase with rays reflected by Na's, the scattering powers of Na and Cl are different so there would be some resultant intensity.
