Dials control
|
|
Dials are special controls designed to allow easy manipulation structures with
cyclic parameters
such as rotational angles. Dials are designed to be used exclusively with
mouse or compatible pointer devices, no keyboard functions are supported.
Each Dial contains two moving controls for normal and fine input -
ARROW and THUMB:
The outer ARROW
provides a coarse interface. You can click anywhere inside the color ring
to change values quickly, or you can click on the arrow and drag it with
the mouse.
THUMB provides fine
parameter control. It is located inside the central part of the Dial and
is normally hidden. Click inside the center of the dial, and a small circle
will appear. This is a THUMB. Its location can be changed by dragging with
the mouse. THUMB is about 10 times more sensitive than ARROW. ARROW will
in turn reflect the corresponding changes in the dial value.
